I am so disgusted and upset by the situation in New Orleans, I don't even know where to begin. I had nightmares about it all night long, last night. I was directed to an "open letter to President Bush" from Michael Moore earlier today and think it's right on the money.
Please check out my friend Melissa's blog, listed in the side bar. She lives in Northern Louisiana and her brother is a volunteer in New Orleans. The accounts are just absolutely horrifying.
Please help in any way that you can. This weekend I plan on rounding up some items we were planning on selling in a garage sale. It's not much, but hopefully it will help someone a little.
